At Holy Trinity Epic Kids we believe that from a young age children are able to respond to the gospel and understand God’s Big Rescue Plan offered in Jesus. This is an EPIC story and is AWESOME news for all!
Epic kids is divided into 4 age groups in order to teach the story of the bible in age appropriate ways and help our children grow in the gospel alongside their peers.
THE GROUPS ARE:
- Epic Tots: 18 mo – 3yrs
- Epic Juniors: 4-7 yrs (Gr R-1)
- Epic Seniors:
- Grade 2 & 3 meet in upstairs hall
- Grade 4-6 meet in downstairs outside classroom
- Grade 7’s can join the teens if they wish or the Epic 46s.
WHAT WE DO EACH SUNDAY:
During the term time our children are taught God’s message through song, videos, group activities, games, big or small group teaching and discussions led by teachers and firmly grounded in the Bible. We follow The Gospel Project for Kids Curriculum from Lifeway, a 4 year journey through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The Gospel Project for Kids shows how everything in the Bible ultimately points to Jesus and fits in with God’s Big Rescue plan! For more information on The Gospel Project, see www.gospelproject.com.
During the holidays a programme is arranged for the 3 yr to Gr 2 age group and the older children are encouraged to sit with their parents through the adult service.
OUR DYNAMIC EPIC TEAM
We have a dedicated group of leaders and assistants that faithfully share the Good News with our children each week. Each Sunday there is a leader and an assistant for each group to teach the children and answer any questions they might have as they dig deeper into God’s Word.
During the holidays a programme is arranged for the 3 yr to Gr 2 age group and the older children are encouraged to sit with their parents through the adult service.
LOGISTICS
At Holy Trinity we strive to ensure the security and safety of every child that enters our doors. We hold to the REACH SA child protection policy and have important logistical items that need to be adhered to. Every child attending Epic Kids must be signed in by their parent or guardian at the beginning of the service and signed out again by the same parent or guardian before they can be released from the venue. Sign in takes place with the hosters in the church foyer where your child will be issued with a name-tag and the parents will be given a corresponding card. At the end of the service, parents are to collect their children from their respective venues where they give their cards to the hosters and the will hand the children back to their parents. The parents of any child who attends Epic kids are also requested to fill out an Emergency Details form, which can be obtained from our hosters. If you have any questions or need any help, our helpful hosters are there to assist you.
