Dear Visitor
Can you imagine life without the world cup? I was stuck in an unbelievable traffic jam last evening while trying to drop my daughter Charissa off to watch the match with friends at the waterfront last night.
If we are capable of experiencing such unity and excitement around the Netherlands beating Uruguay...and that's as a collection of people, many of whom don't personally love and serve Christ, imagine the absolutely exstatic, transfixing joy and excitement of being gathered as God's people before His throne, to worship Him together on that final Day?
This week we have had a great team of hard working GWC students working with Pam and Chris to run a holiday club here at HTC. The programme has been fantatstic and the kids have loved it! If your children have not yet had an opportunity to attend make a priority of getting them here for Thursday and Friday. You can drop them as early as 7.30 and fetch them at 12.30. I've been very impressed at the teaching and fun these kids are having.
This Sunday morning we will be baptising Frank & Nada's son Michael as well as giving feedback on the holiday club. The sermon this Sunday is on Exodus 12, worth reading in advance and contemplating the power and the mercy of the God we serve.
Sunday at 5pm (please note that the time remains at 5pm!) Kagiso will be looking at part 2 of "Living God's way-anger" We live in a society where many are angry, angry for all sorts of reasons. Learn how to face up to this and deal with it with God's help and to help others who struggle.
