Wonder how many people know the 10 commandments off by heart? Easy to learn and worthwhile meditating on as you do your shopping or sit in your car. This Sunday morning we look at Exodus 20 and see that the commandments are given by a loving compassionate God to His people. They show us how God thinks...so why not try to memorise them by Sunday?!
Our Sunday evening programme has changed. The format is very different from the morning and is geared to discussion and debate around a range of Biblical issues which are often hard to deal with adequately in a Sunday morning sermon. Over the last weeks issues have bene covered such as dealing with anger, forgiveness, guidance, racial reconcilaition in South Africa.
Over the next 2 weeks the focus will be on sexuality and the future. How does the Bibles teaching on sexuality impact our life now and in the future. Something relevant to both single and married people.
Time will remain at 5pm as this seems to suit most people especially in winter. We are through by 6.30 and it's just getting dark.
Growth group leaders meet at our house 2 Frank Ave on Sunday afternoon to look at the new material for the next growth groups series-" The sermon on the mount" If you are not yet in a growth group please contact any one of the leaders on the Church brochure and we will help you find agroup that suits you.
This Saturday is the funeral of Vuayni's sister, please do keep him in prayer.
