Dear Visitor
A society which holds the infirm and elderly in contempt is one which is headed for disaster. This Sunday at 10 we look at God's thinking about honouring parents and the elderly in our community.
5pm we take a look at something completely different... what happens to us when we die? This may not be the subject of discussion at most dinner parties but seeing as 1 out of every 1 persons dies, (that includes you and me by the way) it might be well worth our while to think through this together Sunday evening!
October is Lausanne month! Delegates will start arriving next week and the next Sunday evening 17th the congress begins! We have the privilege to share by hosting delegates. (Incidently there is still a need for 750 beds so if you can help in any way please contact any of the staff at HTC urgently!)
There will be a special service here on Sun 17th with Robert Siakimotu, an evangelist in the South Pacific preaching and Martin Sokomanu from Vanuatu sharing his testimony of God's grace. Afterwards we will be having a bring and share fellowship lunch. I'm looking for people to help co-ordinate this as there might be a number of guests from the congress with us on that day. besides the Church family) Could you please contact me if you are available?
During that week there will be a transport hub from outside the Gardens Centre. (Mill st side ABSA entrance) Buses will fetch delegates staying in the city, to take them to the convention centre and to bring them back at night. We need volunteers each evening from Sunday 17 through to Sunday 24th. 2 helpers each evening who will meet delegates as they are dropped off at the Centre and wait with them while their hosts collect them. I'm looking for 16 guys who will give up 2 hours on an evening-from 9-11pm
This is an important service-please contact me if you can help.
