Dear Visitor
So many have prayed in these last days for Alida and God has been at work, she is able to speak clearly and is having physiotherapy and sitting up in a wheel chair. She should be transferred to the Booth Memorial hospital in Upper Orange Street in the next day or so, possibly even today. This is run by the Salvation Army and is efficient and most significantly run by a couple from the army, the Fosters, who are Godly, caring and deeply committed to clear Christian withness...a good place for Alida to be in the next while. She will receive much more intensive Physio and OT there. Pray specifically that she would be encouraged as the road ahead is not easy and much strength will be required.
Grant&Lokie are still waiting for citizenship papers and passports for Miles and Owen, their concern is that they may not get these before the end of December when they were due to leave. So they are most likelygoing to need accomodation for January. Could you please pray for the Lord's provision, a house for them to stay for the month or else a miracle at Home Affairs-whichever is the Lord's will.
Don't forget to pray for Rodg&Linda at Covenant seminary as they approach their first Christmas as a family away from home. If you don't have their newsletter and would like it please mail me...address below)
This Sunday morning we have the baptism of Julia Walker and Christopher Wiseman followed next Sunday by Findley Matthews. Give thanks for these families and for God's covenant promises to His children.Vuyani will be starting our 3 part Christmas series... "What the Grinch has stolen this Christmas-Loneliness"
Sunday evening at 7pm is our Carols service. This is a lot of fun and we have a great team involved! There will be readings, carols, some acting and creativity ending with a short talk... "Christmyth?" Bring the neighbours and family and come early to get a seat!
