Can you remember the time when you first decided..."Now I'm walking with Jesus, I never want to go any other way"? Maybe you've grown up in a Christian home and been taught what it means to follow Jesus from your earliest days. Even in that case you still, along the way, have made certain choices which, when you think about them, indicate that you are deliberately following Christ.
This Sunday, both morning at 10 and evening at 5 we look at what it means to follow Christ. John 1;35-51discover what caused some of the first disciples to follow Jesus and then a look at listening to God, as He speaks to us in The Word, and following Him as a result.
NOTE-Sundays at 5 back from this week.
Growth groups will start up from next week onwards, the first meeting in each group will take the form of a social where newcomers who are new to the group can get to know each other. After that the groups will for the first quarter for the most part follow the same material as in the Sunday morning sermons.
Children's church starts this Sunday again, creche in the upstairs hall and pre-school/grade 1-7 in downstairs hall. It's really great to have Richard and Aliki Edgecumbe joining our children's team! Richard is studying at GWC and Aliki is teaching at Camps Bay High.
Please pray for Werner Booysen whose father passed away yesterday in Durban. Also continue to pray for Alida and Ernest as they recover from illness and injury.
SPECIAL REQUEST...Grant&Lokie Swanepoel need accomodation at least through to the end of March. They can only return to Korr to continue their work amongst the Rendili once the paperwork is complete in terms of the adoption of Owen and Miles. Can you help? Do you know someone who needs housesitting? What a wonderful opportunity to serve.
