Dear Visitor
The events in Japan with the earthquakes, Tsunami and threat of a nuclear disaster quickly make us realise that the world is a far from certain place in which to live. We have no guarantee that tommorow will bring us safety or security. Into such an uncertain world God has put His people, The Church,
Through their love, acts of kindness, generosity and steadfastness as they share the same troubles as the world around them, they are in God's power are able to bear witness to the certainty that Jesus Christ brings. This Sunday at 10 we look at the Church as it shows God's mercy and justice in a fallen world.
Pray especially at this time that the tiny Japanese Church would be a huge witness to a nation in crises.
Operation World says that " Over 70% of Japanese claim no personal religion, but the majority follow the demands of idolatrous and ancestor venerating Buddhism, and rituals of polytheistic Shintoism. There are 24 cities in Japan with no Church at all and of 1020 towns and villages, 595 have no Church. Pray for an awakening to the Gospel.
