This Sunday marks Pentecost, the 50th day after the resurrection of Jesus and the day He chose to send His Holy Spirit to empower His servants. We remember it this year in two ways, by completing our series on 2 Peter looking at chapter 3 vs 11-18. "Living in the light of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ" This can only happen as we are helped by The Holy Spirit so the emphasis will be on Spirit filled living. We also remember Pentecost by meeting as a church family...
The service will finish earlier and we will go right into our AGM. I would like to ask you to make every effort to come to this, (if you are a member you will get an agenda in the next day or 2) We all need to know what are finances are doing, who is serving in leadership on the Church council and what some of the key thoughts and plans are as we look ahead at the next year. Afterwards there will be soup and roll and the opportunity for fellowship.
Sunday evening sees the last of the series looking at the Old Testament overview. This week, "Understanding the prophets"
Tanya Jarvis is hosting a light lunch at the Church this Saturday at 12. This will be an opportunity to hear about her plans for ministry in Egypt and to pray with and for her.
