I don't think there is any way in which the events of Genesis 3 can be described as anything other than an earthshattering calamity. Each day, all people everywhere are affected by the fall...the deliberate act of disobedience by Adam. Sin and it's consequences both for humanity and for the world we live in has it's root here. This Sunday at 10 am we will explore this in greater depth.
Sunday at 5pm we continue the series by John Piper looking at Election and predestination. This week the question being addressed is this... "Did Christ's death pay for the sins of the entire human race or only for the sins of those who he elected?
Next week (Wed-Fri) is our denominations annual synod held in Durban this year. It's an important gathering of all pastors and layleaders from churches around the country. There are many important things being discussed. Please do be in prayer for Vuyani and myself as we attend as well as for our denomination as a whole. Continue to pray for our presiding bishop Des Inglesby for a swift recovery, for strength and wisdom.
