Dear Visitor
For many people Christmas and holidays and family come to much the same thing. A time at the end of the year to hopefully get some rest or at least to enjoy the fact that schools are closed and weather is warmer and days are long. It is however, infinitely more than that. Its the most wonderful God given opportunity imaginable to discover afresh that at the heart of Christmas lies the key as to why God's people are delivered from a life without hope and without God in this world, and ultimately, from hell.
Understanding that more clearly is what the sermons over the next weeks are about, think very carefully about who you would like to invite to come with you, think also of ways in which God could use you to reach out to those who are lonely and hurting.
Sunday evening is our annual Carols in the Garden event. This will be at 7pm, but arrive early to get a seat and arrive at 5 if you are able to help with the setting up. It looks as if the wind may die down and that we may have it outside this year. We need people to bring snacks for afterwards so if you can come could you please bring a plate of your favourite Christmas cookies?!
